They are advising each other to lie and say that "their art" is not AI generated, because why does it matter what tools you use, its still your art. They are complaining that "their art" is being removed from art boards for being AI generated. Yet we are already seeing "Artists" claiming that they are making art, and not just anybody can put in the right prompts, it takes talent. Yet if I log on to DALL-E 2 (or any other AI generator), give it the exact same prompt I gave to the painter, look over the images that were generated, pick the one I like best, then re post it on my social media claiming I made it, I am now a very talented and imaginative artist? People would almost universally say no, and say that I am a fraud for taking somebody else's artwork and claiming I made it. Then I look over the pictures they painted, pick the one I like best, then re post it on my social media claiming I made it. Implement, not implement, I won’t bother you any further.ĭoes not seem to be interested in further explanation.I commission an artist to paint a series of pictures based description I send them. Point 2 seems to be in the works, if I understand correctly.Īnd finally, as mentioned, your suggestions do not meet the requirements for a feature request.Īddendum: Actually, I think this is a topic for the lounge, since the OP, assuming I’m interpreting this correctly: This fact accounts for a great deal of Krita’s design. This means that the other programs may have more features than Krita for image manipulation tasks, such as stitching together photos, while Krita’s tools are most relevant to digital painting, concept art, illustration, and texturing. …As you learn about Krita, keep in mind that it is not intended as a replacement for Photoshop. Developed together with users, Krita is an application that supports their actual needs and workflow… …Explicitly supported fields of painting are illustrations, concept art, matte painting, textures, comics and animations. …Krita is a free and open source cross-platform application that offers an end-to-end solution for creating digital art files from scratch… Krita is a sketching and painting program designed for digital artists… Point 7 is also understandable but there again something comes into play that you may not know about yet, Krita’s focus is not on photo manipulation and retouching, but Krita is focused on painting and drawing, about the improvement of this tool was, if I remember well, even recently talked about and it was considered to be of secondary importance to be active there.īesides, the Krita philosophy is not to copy other software to attract its users, but, and here I quote from the introduction to the Krita 5.0 Manual Points 1 and 2 need a more detailed presentation, point 3 makes me wonder what sharpness (sharpness setting) you are talking about exactly and whether this could be about current project in progress, point 4 is a self-explanatory point for once, there is a plugin for point 5, point 6 can be understood. If you have wishes and ideas, then please describe what which function does and also give examples of use, always just assuming that everyone knows what the aforementioned programs look like, what functions they offer and how any tasks are handled there, is ignorant at best. It’s not helpful to always just remark, “just like in Photoshop/CSP/FireAlpaca/etc.”, not everyone has this software and therefore can’t imagine anything about it! Implement, not implement, I won’t bother you any further.Īs well-intentioned as your comments are, you missed one thing, as did many others before you. Thank you, Krita developers, for your incredible effort. But maybe nice for familiarity to PS’ “content aware”. No way to select an area with the Smart Patch Tool, as in Photoshop. No way to move the entire selection around when setting up a crop (space in PS).No preview at all in saving JPG quality. No preview button you can tap on and off in many menus. No options for how strong you want the sharpness to be.No “Object selection tool” as in Photoshop. No “Quick selection tool” as in Photoshop. The only issues I have, which I would love/need to see updated: It’s an amazing effort and works very intuitively. Krita comes the closest to me dumping Photoshop. Only reason I still need a Windows 10 VM is because of two Adobe programs (Adobe is key in preventing many people from dumping Windows), including Photoshop. Just learned and tested Krita for Linux Mint.
